Cheek reduction involves a surgeon making necessary incisions inside your mouth before shaving off a small a layer of your cheek bone. This is in addition to removing fat pads that cover your cheeks and sides of your face.
During consultation you are obligated to inform a surgeon of your lifestyle and any medications/vitamins/supplements you may be using as such can affect your treatment and also prolong your recovery.
One week will be enough for you to resume your normal activities. It will however be after two or three weeks before you can attain full recovery. You should therefore not strain your mouth during the first two weeks of receiving the treatment.
There is always the risk of too much bone being shaved off, which may require another surgery to correct. Should your skin fail to shrink to conform to minimized cheek area, puckering of the skin is possible. Thailand cosmetic surgeons are however properly trained and can therefore prevent development of the complications.
